Malaysia isn’t used to centrist politics. They need a clear winner and loser. It’s like playing football. If there is no winner at the end of the game, it goes into overtime and then penalty shootouts.
Malaysians have had to contend with mediocre politicians, policymakers, and elected leaders for far too long. It’s time to weed out the bad from the good.
I’ll take the approach of saying that the entire thing is all the result of the socio-economic problem of our country, more specifically, the lack of social and economic equality among Malaysians.
If Dian Lee is stopped from even contesting and offering herself as a candidate, then how would we know if the people are okay with her or not since it wouldn’t be reflected in a vote?
