SUPPORT OUR LATEST FEATURE FILM – JOM KITA KE LAUT!

We are planning to release JOM KITA KE LAUT in Malaysian cinemas in January 2026. We realise that documentaries aren’t necessary able to attract a huge ticket buying crowd as compared to more mainstream blockbusters. But we do believe that our story carries an important message (and we also tried to make it as entertaining as we could!). So we are embarking on a mission called JOM KITA KE PANGGUNG – an initiative to buy cinema tickets to bring people to watch JOM KITA KE LAUT on the big screen.

Fat Bidin Sdn Bhd has almost two decades of experience creating non-fiction storytelling via multimedia platforms as well as media and communication training and consultancy.

When it comes to content creation, videos have been one of Fat Bidin specialties, where documentaries, TV and online news packages and social media videos covering all kinds of issues from politics, conflict, preventing and countering violent extremism, culture, arts and campaigns (political, governmental, social-activism) have been produced over the years. Our clients and grantors have included; broadcast and online media outlets like CNN, Al Jazeera, TRT World, BBC, Channel News Asia, Astro AWANI, Media Prima, VPRO TV and Malaysiakini; governmental agencies and politicians like Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter Terrorism (SEARCCT), the Malaysian Minister of Education, the Malaysian Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living and the US Embassy Kuala Lumpur; as well as non-profit and non-governmental agencies like Think City, The Japan Foundation, The Asia Foundation and the Centre for Independent Journalism. We also delve in other mediums such as audio, photography and writing.

Among the trainings and consultation that we have conducted include various workshops and lectures on media strategies on countering violent extremism narratives for agencies like the Southeast Asia Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT), media relations consultancy for the former Minister of Education, Dr Maszlee Malik, and the late Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Salahuddin Ayub, as well as crisis communication simulations and media training for agencies like Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA), Khazanah Nasional and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as well as journalism training for professional journalists.
