DEC 24 — A friend of mine who is gay contacted me recently and asked my opinion of the latest hot gay-related news in the media this week. Yes, the Azwan Ismail case. I always thought I knew what Islam’s stand was on gay issues — that it’s wrong and they will all go to hell! Well, that’s what I heard anyway. No one’s confirmed it. I felt that I didn’t have to worry about that ambiguous issue in the religion (I just had to worry about all the other sins I do!). As far as I am concerned, I’m not gay and I’m okay.
