Yet another change in media consumption

NOV 12 — I used to read books at night in bed. It started when I was a kid and it became a ritual right into adulthood. I can’t fall asleep otherwise. A book usually takes me two weeks’ worth of nights to finish but I’ve noticed that my bedside table has had the same book, unfinished, for the past six months. Then I noticed something else on my bedside table. Something new. And it has been there for the past six months too. It happens to be my iPad.
I’ve also started noticing that sometimes I don’t really read in bed. I would plug in my earphones (so as not to disturb the wife) and start browsing for videos. Before you start snickering and accusing me of viewing anything blue in nature, let me declare that interest died a long time ago along with my youthful college days.
