First and foremost, Malaysia only came to be since 16 September 1963 right after the joining of Sabah and Sarawak. Before that we were known as Tanah Melayu and earlier before that – The Malay Archipelago. You mentioned Malaysia not Tanah Melayu or Malay Archipelago. Though there were of course connotations of the name Malaysia being used as early as 1914 when a map in Chicago dated that very year was found. Nonetheless, it was only officiated in 1963 as stated earlier. So, obviously it wasn’t exactly as early as 100 or 200 years as you may have (hopefully in sarcasm) suggested. Secondly, Buddhism and Hinduism era came to halt at the arrival of Islam in the 13th century. So, even if you want to consider the years before Tanah Melayu became Malaysia, Islam had already arrived. Finally, it was not just the Arabs that brought Islam. The Indian traders also spread the religion. Therefore, if you were to remember that far back.. well I guess it just suggests that you’re over 700years old. I wasn’t born in Malaysia neither am I old enough to remember when ‘The Arabs brought Islam to the ports’ though if there was one thing I believe in, it would be history. What is written, happened or else it wouldn’t have been written or officiated.

And p/s to Zan Azlee, kudo’s on the Movie. Its about time people begin to understand something from a different aspect and open minds across the country.
