My film has been taken off the broadcasting lineup

I have just been informed that the ‘powers above’ have taken my film, I’M MUSLIM TOO! HEADING TO THE BORDER, off the broadcasting line up on ntv7 at the last minute. Let’s hope an appeal is successful. I really want Malaysians to see it.

Being the super duper star that I am… I’ve been invited to appear on ntv7′s live The Breakfast Show this Tuesday, 25th Aug 2009, between 9am and 10am, to talk about I’M MUSLIM TOO! Heading to the border. So catch it! If you have to go to work that morning… don’t! Muahahaha!

Here’s a short documentary I did about ‘samak’ some time ago. And to my delight, because of this, I was immediately promoted to the rank of ‘Ustaz‘!

Here’s an excerpt of my latest column/reaction to my new found status (which can be read in it’s entirety at The Malaysian Insider):

JUNE 3 — “Assalamualaikum,” said the woman on the other line.
“Wa’alaikumsalam,” I replied.
“Boleh saya bercakap dengan Ustaz Zan Azlee?”
“Err… Zan Azlee bercakap.”
“Saya nak bertanya, saya baru sahaja membeli rumah. Perlukah saya samak lantai dan dinding rumah tersebut?”
I’m definitely not an ustaz (Islamic scholar) and I’m definitely not an expert on issues relating to samak. I had no clue as to why she called me asking for advice on cleaning her house. [Click for more]
